Building Works Consultancy (Residential and Commercial)

Many projects start with consultancy work, it’s an important step in the right direction. Within the consultancy David will gather information off you to create a forward plan.

Other areas within the consultancy field are advice and general recommendations or suggestions on the correct path for you to follow. Maybe you are thinking of a renovation, or self-build, or a larger development plan. It’s always best to consult with an expert before making costly financial decisions.

Consultation services can also apply to builders and contractors looking for a friendly face for support and be provided guidance as they build or landscape a property. Independent expert advice is always recommended with any build that may involve structural issues or engineering solutions.

Our Consultation Services can be as simple as a one off ‘What do you think?’ to a longer term structured brief or implementation of plans, involving cross functional programs and kept task compliance with expected outcomes.

David Simmonds Building Solutions and David Simmonds Surveyor has many years hands on building and construction work experience as well as qualifications. He demonstrates is knowledge and attention to detail when surveying a property. His report and findings give details of a buildings condition and can be as complex as a level 3 RICS survey or rolled out as a simple stock condition survey.

Any survey is a set of notable conditions and observations of a buildings condition. Some surveying may incur a slightly invasive procedure if this is required this will be conducted with a highly experienced tradesman with the surveyor present. All surveying is not an acceptance of legal responsibility if the surveyor has missed areas that could not be seen by a visual inspection or specialist inspection.

David has professional indemnity insurance with Hiscox a market leader within the insurance industry and RICS Certified in Building Surveying Practice.
